The work of Agnès Geoffray contrasts reality and fiction between everyday and unthinkable situations. Her installations encompass the unknown. Ms. Geoffray likes to consider her works as constructions of an imaginary past. She appropriates images and scenes from a collective memory and attempts to draw attention to the real meaning of events by identifying and emphasizing particular words and images.
